Prerequisite: IFSC 2300 or equivalent or consent of instructor. This course provides a comprehensive understanding of networks, internet applications, and their underlying hardware architecture and software theories. Topics include network protocols, data communication concepts, packet switching technologies, internet protocols, and network issues such as performance, security, and management. Lab exercises are used to demonstrate how network concepts are implemented in practice. Three lecture hours per week. Three credit hours
