Subject Studio Art (ARST) 4348 Section 01 (CRN: 11189)
Prerequisite: ARST 3356 or consent of the instructor. A study of computer software as tools for the graphic designer in the web design industry. Students complete a series of projects illustrating the different design and production capabilities of individual software programs and their interrelationships. Students produce a variety of projects, from small scale graphics to complete web sites. Three credit hours.
Prerequisite: ARST2318. Concentration on the design, development, implementation, and updating of web sites utilzing compliant HTML and CSS code. Lectures, in-class demonstrations, research, readings, and coursework educate the students in a variety of structural and navigational approaches. Emphasis is placed on site structure, interface design, design aethetics, and useability along with the use of industry standard computer applications. Three credit hours.
