Prerequisites: Grades of C or higher in CNMG 3357 and 3374. An introduction to drinking water treatment and distribution and wastewater collection and treatment. Topics include coagulation; flocculation; softening; ion exchange; membrane filtration; sedimentation; filtration; disinfection; wastewater microbiology; primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment of wastewater; and residuals management. Two hours lecture. Two hours lab. Three credit hours. Spring only.
