Adult Nursing II2018 First 7 Weeks

Subject Nursing (NURS) 1410 Section 80 (CRN: 12444)

"Prerequisite: NURS 1205 and NURS 1505. Prerequisite/Concurrent: BIOL 1412 or BIOL 1433. Builds on NURS 1505 with focus on coordination of patient centered care and the evidence base for planning priorities based on the health problem, symptoms, and patient/family beliefs and values. Exemplars include acute and chronic health problems common in middle adulthood that require multidisciplinary management. Students continue to develop nursing knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the competencies of safety, teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement, and informatics with laboratory experiences in simulation, structured health care settings, and completion of a service learning activity. One-half semester. Four credit hours (2 credits theory; 2 credits lab). "
Examination times may vary from lecture time frames. This course includes simulation laboratory experiences that are scheduled on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
