An introduction emphasizing Greek and Roman mythology and its influence on Western culture.
This course will examine myths from around the world, exploring how archetypal themes and motifs reflect shared moral,philosophic, and aesthetic concerns. An emphasis will be placed on how these myths are transmitted across literary periods and how they remain relevant to contemporary life. Section 9B0 will meet at Center, 410 River St. at Benton.
