Honors Adv Public Speaking2017 Spring

Subject Speech Communication (SPCH) 3321 Section 9H1 (CRN: 14390)

Prerequisite: SPCH 1300 with a grade of "C" or better or consent of the instructor; admissions to UALR Honors College; majors/minors should take in their first year in the program. This course develops the student's ability to prepare and deliver an effective persuasive presentation. Topics include audience analysis, critical thinking and listening, the use of supporting materials and presentational aids, ethical implications of public presentations, and the development of a communication orientation to public speaking. This course replaces SPCH 3320 in the speech communication major for honors students. Three credit hours.
