Subject Applied Communication (ACOM) 3320 Section 01 (CRN: 14762)

Prerequisites: ACOM 1300 or consent of the instructor; majors/minors should take in their first year in the program. This course develops the student's ability to prepare and deliver an effective persuasive presentation. Topics include audience analysis, critical thinking and listening, the use of supporting materials and presentational aids, ethical implications of public presentations, and the development of a communication orientation to public speaking. Three credit hours.
This course also includes online work in Blackboard as part of the class requirements.
