Subject Nursing (NURS) 2350 Section 9H5 (CRN: 64238)
Prerequisites: NURS 2410; NURS 2420: CHEM 1400 or 1402 or 1405. Prerequisites/Concurrent: NURS 2550; BIOL 240 I. The focus of this course is to support transition to the practice of nursing through synthesis of knowledge. Students will demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and attitudes in the program competencies of patient centered care, evidence based practice, teamwork and collaboration, safety, quality improvement, and informatics. The competencies will be demonstrated within a structured preceptor supervised practicum, during a practical management experience and/or during an interdisciplinary simulation-based learning experience. Comprehensive review will support student readiness for the NCLEX-RN examination. Five weeks. Three credit hours (2 credits theory; I credit lab).
Class meets face-to-face at designated meeting time/location and requires some online participation. Students will also complete 45 clinical hours that are simulation-based and are face-to-face.
