Prerequisitie: NURS 1300. Prerequisite/Concurrent: NURS 1505 and BIOL 1412 or BIOL 1433. The course introduces the knowledge, skills, and attitudes as they relate to the concept of Health across the lifespan. Emphasis is on nurses' role in health risk reduction; learning needs assessment; accessing current evidence of practices to improve quality of life; collaborating with peers to develop patient centered risk assessments; and teaching plans to promote health in all life stages for individuals and families. Two credit hours.
